This is an in-person 2-day workshop.
Linda Hasselberg is the owner of Wimberley Stitch Studio and designer of Hassle-Free Patterns in Wimberley, Texas. Create a collage masterpiece using a published pattern (such as an Emily Taylor, Laura Heine, or Susan Carlson pattern) in Linda’s 2-day workshop, Fabric Collage: Simplifying the Complex.
New location! AAQG wants to ensure that our members in the greater south Austin area and beyond have access to a workshop location closer to home. This fabric collage workshop is located in Buda – easily accessible on I-35 south as well as the TX-1 Loop South/I-45.
When the Textile Collage patterns began arriving at Linda's shop, she and her team became interested in trying to help her clients understand how it worked. Requests for classes began. Intimidated by the complexity of these patterns, students both feared and desired to create beautiful collages. That is when Linda, who loves to simplify complex patterns, became obsessed with this art form. Now Linda brings her fabric collage workshop to our guild members.
This workshop is for all skill levels, even non-quilters! Sewing machines are not needed for the 2-day workshop, however, the collage quilt top will need to be finished by either longarm or sewing machine to ensure all fused pieces are secured.
Registration Opens: May 8, 2022
