Red, White and Blue Project

Quilts are delivered to the USO at Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio, Texas.  The USO distributes the quilts to wounded soldiers.

Kits and patterns are available at the monthly guild meetings.  For more information, contact the Red, White, and Blue Project Coordinator

Guidelines for RWB Quilts

  • Gender neutral fabrics - no fabric with military insignia/badges, no juvenile, feminine, holiday, or religious fabrics
  • Any Colors - Red, White, and Blue are popular
  • Sizes for wheelchair - 36" X 36" to 40" X 42"
  • Sizes for throw - approximately 54" to 60" wide by 75" to 90" long
  • Sizes for twin - approximately 64" X 96"
  • Please do not tie quilts
  • Backing and batting donated with quilt top must be 10" larger than top (at least 5" larger all the way around)
  • Binding donated with quilt top should be 2 1/2" wide and 10 " larger than outside edge of quilt top
