Giving Back to Our Community

As a 501(c)3 Charitable organization we consider giving back to our community essential.  Members are encouraged to donate a quilt each year on the month of their birthday to one or more of our charitable causes.

Baby Bundles

We distribute hand-made quilts to three local agencies that promote the health and well-being of families with newborns and which facilitate services for abused children. Come visit the Baby Bundle table at each Guild meeting for more information.

Red, White and Blue Project

RWB  quilts are donated to the Warrior and Family Support Center in San Antonio, Texas.

The facility program manager determines who receives the quilts. A family comes into the center and receives a quilt for their beds and for the wounded soldier. When the families go home from the Army hospital (in front of the center), they take the quilts with them. Most families stay in the center from six months to a year.

Safe Place

Members donate items for SafePlace, an Austin shelter for battered women and their children.
