This is a three night weekday retreat for a maximum of 8 people at the Dexter Oaks Retreat in Florence, Texas from Monday June 10 – Thursday June 13, 2024. It is located directly off Hwy 183 between Liberty Hill and Lampasas. Arrival is 10 AM. Departure is 2 PM. Dexter Oaks Retreat is located on a working 22 acre cow ranch. Enjoy beautiful sunsets and peaceful days away from city life! The cost is $155 for members and $165 for non-members.
The retreat has three spacious bedrooms, 2 ½ baths and provides bed linens, pillows, towels, shampoo, conditioner and body soap. Two bedrooms are upstairs and one downstairs. Please let retreat coordinator know if you are unable to do the stairs. There are two large outdoor spaces for gathering, including a large covered patio with ceiling fans and rocking chairs. They have free Wi-Fi, TV, a laundry room and an emergency sewing supply area.
You will be greeted with a welcome treat and bottled water. No meals are served, but the kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need, including pantry staples and complementary coffee and accompaniments. An optional catering menu will be available to participants closer to the retreat, and the retreat coordinator will reach out to you with the information.
There are 3 restaurants in Florence within 10 miles of the retreat. The Vineyard at Florence is12 miles away with beautiful grounds, a tasting room and restaurant. Andice general store is 10 miles away and has great hamburgers and sandwiches. There is a company in Florence that delivers from all surrounding area restaurants, fast food & stores for a $10.00 delivery fee.
The closest HEB is in Leander, 23 miles away. In that same shopping center, there is fast food, pizza, gas, and donuts. Poppy Quilt and Sew in Georgetown is 15 miles away. Honey Bee quilt store is 30 miles away, but they give us 20% off all purchases while staying at the retreat!

The retreat facility is directly off Hwy 183. (Please be advised that CR 221 is only a short distance ahead once you see the 221 sign.) Once you are on CR 221, we are approx. 1.5 miles down on the right. Maps will say “you have arrived” a bit early. Watch for the 1025 sign on the right. Once you turn in, the retreat is a 1/4 mile up the road. You will be greeted and directed to the covered drop off area. Guests will pull their car into the stables, stop and take in their machines and supplies and drive out to park.
