Baby Bundles Charity Quilt Workday Tuesday, September 18 10a-3pm

Time once again our to start our monthly Baby Bundles Workday series. We’ll have room for 10  “helpers” to work with the Baby Bundles committee members to  prepare quilt tops and fabrics for the Baby Bundles program. This month, we'll be focusing on matching tops received over this past summer with backing fabric so they can go off to be quilted! Among the other things we’ll accomplish:

• Sort through newly received fabrics for use in preparing kits or backing.
  
• Cut and Piece fabric for  backs for oversized tops
  
• Rotary cut binding strips and match with tops and backs. Make extra binding. We have quite a stash of quilts that are finished but for binding, we need to cut binding for them, so we can hand them out at the October meeting.
• We still have a lot of kits, but it time allows, we could make more kits or just make some tops in preparation for the November Sew-In general meeting!
  

We’ll reply with small list of supplies you might want to bring.  There are sewing machines for us to use there, so no need to bring yours unless you just want to. Space is limited. We’ll likely take a break for lunch, (or you can bring a sack lunch!) and we'll definitely finish before the traffic get’s too crazy out there!

What's Coming up? We will also hold workdays in October on the 16th, and another in December on the 11th. We'll be having our annual Charity Quilt Sew In at the general meeting on November 1, so no workday is planned for that month.
