Emma Jane Powell Presents
Modern Improv Vintage Soul
Modern Improv Meets Vintage Charm
What happens when expressive, modern improvisational piecing meets the timeless beauty of vintage textiles?
In this workshop, we'll use treasured vintage linens - think doilies, embroidered tea towels, dresser scarves, and lace - as the inspiration for a contemporary improvisational quilt. Rather than following a traditional pattern, you'll explore a series of guided techniques while creating a small piece inspired by the sample.

Emma Jane Powell Presents:
Ripple Effect
Improvisationally curious? Improv is a great way to break free of traditional piecing rules and challenge your creativity. Skills taught will include: color & fabric combinations, straight lines, triangles, curves, and putting together segments. Bring your scraps and create a small sample for each skill, or build up to a larger final project. You will finish this class with a toolbox full of techniques to create more expressive, spontaneous work in the future.
*Kit fee $15.00, optional.
