Charity Quilts Sewing Day

This free, 5-hour sewing event is for members who would like to help us stitch up a few quilt tops for the charities we serve through the guild's Baby Bundles and Red, White & Blue projects.  You may choose the volunteer activity you would most enjoy.  We need volunteers to sew strip sets or precut pieces into blocks,  help make fabric kits for members to pick up at meetings, press fabric, cut fabric and bind quilts.  We will take a break at noon and enjoy a social lunch hour together as a group.  It is sure to be fun!

The fabric and precut pieces will be provided.

AAQG members Carrie Thielemann, Jane Coefield, D'Ette Rice and Cheryl Degan will be guiding the effort for the day.

Supplies:  Bring the following:

Sewing Machine with all accessories, walking foot, power cord, and foot control.

Basic Sewing Supplies - scissors, machine needles, neutral thread, seam ripper, straight pins/clips, cutting mat, ruler rotary cutter, small pressing mat, travel iron and 6 foot or longer extension cord. If you have 6 1/2" square and/or 12 1/2" square rulers please bring those along with your 24" ruler.

Sack lunch and a drink.
