Sewing Skill:  Confident Beginner

Sewing Skill:  Confident Beginner - A confident beginner who has made at least two bags from any sewing pattern.  You will need the ability to sew a zipper, attach decorations and Velcro and know how to use a walking foot.  Other than that this is a very straightforward project.

This unassuming little cutie really packs a wallop – and a number of other things! This purse is ideal for vacations or traveling light. It’s nicer than a fanny pack, less bulky than a traditional purse, and will lie securely next to your body. The 2 inside pockets are big enough for a cell phone, check book and glasses. There is also one pocket on the back.

Mary and Jennifer are experienced bag makers and will share many of their tips for making successful bags.

Fabric recommendations: The entire bag is made from just three fabrics. Choose three coordinating fat quarters and find some fantastic buttons and ribbons to decorate the front of the purse.

Keeping in the Lazy Girl tradition, this project is quick and easy and offers a place to embellish and personalize.

BASIC SKILLS NECESSARY
- Straight Stitch, and Zig Zag Stitch Required.
- An even-feed or walking foot may be helpful.  A zipper foot is also helpful, but not required.
- This project is designed to be made using 100% quilting cottons.
- Rotary cutting
