Learn how to spark creativity in yourself with challenges that will have everyone thinking outside the box. This trunk show has more ideas than you will know what to do with to get you not only learning new techniques but building your quilting and creative confidence.

Melilssa Marginet grew up next door to her wonderful grandmother near Bruxelles, Manitoba and she credits her for a great start to a creative life. Melissa has lived in Manitoba all her life, in several areas of the province.  She currently lives in Beausejour with her husband.  She has one daughter and three beautiful grandchildren.

Although she had made a couple of quilts prior, she caught the quilting bug in 2001 when she took a Log Cabin class to get rid of some fabric she had laying around. Melissa belongs to two quilt guilds: Manitoba Prairie Quilters and Winnipeg Modern Quilt Guild. She also heads a quilt group, Common Threads in the town where she lives.  Melissa is the creator and webmaster of Quilt Manitoba, a website that lists quilt resources, links, and activities for quilters living in, or visiting Manitoba.

Melissa loves to teach, and she especially loves to teach quilting. She enjoys sharing her knowledge and inspiring others. She is a DIY quilter from beginning to end and encourages others to do the same.  Melissa believes there is no right or wrong way, there are different ways.  Each person needs to find what works best for them.

Melissa has written two books on walking foot quilting as well as several patterns.

6:45 pm Show and Tell, 7:00 pm meeting
