Advertising at the AAQG 2010 Quilt Show and Sale

The Austin Area Quilt Guild will hold its biennial Quilt Show and Sale September 17-19, 2010 at the Palmer Event Center in Central Austin. Honoring the traditions of our past and looking to the future of our Guild and the world of quiltmaking, the Austin Area Quilt Guild is 'Changing Gears'. You can help us 'Change Gears' by advertising in our complimentary Show Program to be published in conjunction with the show. Each of the anticipated 4000 attendees over the three day show will receive a Show Program upon entry to the show floor. Even better, your advertising exposure will continue as part of the Show Program included in the Show CD.

Your ad is an excellent way to focus your advertising dollars on a targeted, interested and devoted audience of quiltmakers and quilt lovers. Our vendor booth numbers will be automatically included in print ads to encourage attendees to visit to those special booths.

Funds generated from the Quilt Show are used to support the Guild's mission of preserving the heritage of quilting and promoting excellence and education in the art of quiltmaking. We offer on-going support and education via monthly general meetings, lectures and workshops by nationally recognized quilters. Smaller groups of members in neighborhood quilting 'bees' share the educational lessons from the area meetings and extend the charitable mission of AAQG.

  • AAQG has donated over 500 quilts and 76 afghans to families of Fallen Soldiers, returning Wounded Warriors at Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio, active duty soldiers in Mosul, Iraq, and to veterans at the Veterans Hospital in Temple, Texas.
  • Our community outreach annually averages more than 370 completed baby quilts donated to infant well-being programs in Travis, Bastrop and Williamson counties.

In addition to the purchase of your ad in the program, we encourage guilds and shops to display complimentary Show Posters and bookmark flyers. To order promotional flyers and window posters please e-mail a request to the AAQG Show Chair.

For Ad layout information and advertising rates for the Show Program please read the 2010 Show and Sale Ad Packet. In this packet, you will also find forms for submitting your Ad copy.

Ad copy and payment must be received by July 1, 2010. Checks may be made out to 'AAQG 2010 Show'. Please visit the AAQG web site for complete information on our biennial quilt show.

For program information please contact Show Program Advertising Coordinator.

Please join us at the Austin Area Quilt Guild 2010 Quilt Show and Sale September 17-19, 2010.

We look forward to receiving your ad and thank you in advance for your support.
