A word from our 2010 Quilt Show Co-Chairs:

Honoring the traditions of our past and looking to the future of our Guild and the world of quiltmaking, the Austin Area Quilt Guild is “Changing Gears”. We are returning our show to the Palmer Events Center, a beautiful location in the heart of downtown Austin, next to Lady Bird Lake. In addition to the raffle quilt we are reintroducing a popular feature of past shows - the opportunity to purchase some of the members’ quilts on exhibit!

Originally developed as a need for warmth, quilting has evolved into a functional art form. We are “changing gears” including our past, demonstrating that quilting is as relevant today as ever, incorporating modern technology with tried and true familiar patterns as well as original works of art in fiber.
