Wearable Arts Coordinator
Duties
- Arrange for Wearable Arts challenge to coordinate with theme of show.
- Select fabric for the challenge, if desired, and get selection approval from the Show Co-Chairs.
- If a challenge fabric is chosen, work with local vendors to have stock available.
- Develop written rules for the challenge.
- Present challenge rules and fabric to members at Guild meetings.
- Prepare information for publication in Quips and/or special publications.
- Work with Floor Plan Coordinator and Hanging Coordinator to arrange layout of area at show.
- Decide how items are to be displayed, working within show budget.
- Obtain all display materials, either from Guild storage or other sources.
- Set-up displays prior to show.
- Recruit volunteers through the Volunteer Coordinator to hang items. (?not sure if Hanging does this)
- Identify any special check-in/check-out
- Dismantle displays after show and return items to appropriate homes.
- Write thank-you notes as appropriate.
- Maintain records of expenses and receipts, working closely with the Treasurer and Show Co-Chairs to stay within budget.
- Maintain list of helpers who assisted you (besides show volunteers), and give to the Volunteer Coordinator.
- Prepare information for publication in Quips and/or special publications.
- Prepare final report and update committee notebook.
