Publicity Coordinator

Duties
  • Establish contact with and coordinate all print media publicity.
  • Register quilt show on all web sites that will provide publicity for our show.
  • Coordinate with City of Austin for location and hanging of street banners.
  • Prepare copy for all print publicity, including flyers to handout with quilt when displayed.
  • Coordinate change on banners.
  • Serve as contact person for all printed show information.
  • Coordinate replacement of banners as needed.
  • Receive mock-up from Artwork Coordinator and deliver to and pick up from designated print shop.
  • Recruit assistants and committee members through Volunteer Coordinator.
  • Write thank-you notes as appropriate.
  • Maintain records of expenses and receipts, working closely with the Treasurer and Show Co-Chairs to stay within budget.
  • Maintain list of helpers who assisted you (besides show volunteers), and give to the Volunteer Coordinator.
  • Prepare information for publication in Quips and/or special publications.
  • Prepare final report and update committee notebook.
