Quilt Show Judge Marilyn HardyBiography:
Marilyn Hardy took her first quilting lessons in 1980, and the next year she was one of the founding members of the Quilters Guild of East Texas. She has served in many capacities within her guild, including president and quilt show chair. Her guild has honored her with a Life Membership for her service. She has won numerous ribbons for her quilts, most recently a first place and a second place at the San Antonio show. She became interested in judging when she served for several years as judging coordinator for the Azalea Quilt Show in Tyler, TX. She has judged several quilt shows and is actively pursuing her study of quilts and quilt judging. She became certified as a judge by NQA in 2008. Judging Philosophy: As a quilt judge, I respect every quiltmaker and every piece of their work. Judging recognizes and encourages excellence in workmanship, concept, design, color, creativity - all the tangibles and the intangibles that make a quilt a striking work of art.
