E-Mail

The Guild board of directors have e-mail addresses. Refer to the AAQG Yearbook for the list of Executive Board members and their email addresses or visit the "Contact Us" web page.

The guild also sponsors an electronic mail list for members. Only guild members may join and post to the list. Members who check the box about being added to the email list on their membership form are automatically placed on the aaqg email list. Members who do not check the box as a new or renewing member are removed from the mailing list.

To subscribe or unsubscribe from this email list, contact the Second Vice-President for membership or send an email to the Membership Chair.

To report a problem with the email list or to change your email address on the list, contact the AAQG Web Manager or send an email to the AAQG Web Manager.

Acceptable Use of AAQG Email List

Send an email to AAQGmembers@aaqg.org OR members@aaqg.org. Both of these email addresses go to the same list. Use the one that you prefer.

Use appropriate content in both Subject: and Message. Content for any email should be quilt-related and of interest to guild members.

For example, you may:

• Post a note about guild business
• Post a note asking for specific information like “I need someone to sew…”
• Post a note about something quilt related like “Have you seen this exhibit/website?”
• Post a note about borrowing a pattern or book.
• Post a note asking for quilting advice.

Posts about a sale at a store or a garage sale or something similar are not allowed. Posts about non-quilt related topics are also not allowed. Advertising is not allowed except for the following:

Advertising that is time-sensitive but misses a Quilting Quips deadline is eligible as a text-only ad on our email list. The cost is $5 (for 20 or fewer lines of text) or $10 (for more than 20 lines of text). Advertising for website-specific businesses can be placed once per month whether time-sensitive or not.

All ads must go through the newsletter advertising manager. Send an email message to the Advertising Editor if you want to use this function of our email list.
