The foundation of the quilt combines an old tablecloth and apron that reminds me of a time when the proper table was always set with a tablecloth and the woman cooking the meal wore an apron. The hanky and doilies are also reminiscent of that time. A sachet of lavender fills one pocket. This piece is homage to those women of that time.
