2003 Challenge - Flower Power
- One or two entries per person. One entry form per quilt.
- Quilt should interpret the theme, "Flower Power" and may include any technique. An easily recognizable lightning bolt at least 4 inches long (either pieced or appliqued) must be included as a design element on the front of the quilt. Any fabric is acceptable.
- Quilting must be visible. Can be machine or hand quilted.
- Size must be within minimum of 18" by 18" and maximum of 36" by 36".
- Any shape acceptable, but must have 3" - 4" hanging sleeve on the back. (See AAQG show rules for specifics). Square, rectangle or irregular shape, diptychs or triptychs acceptable (2 or 3 parts), but the total is not to exceed the maximum width/height.
- An identification label must appear on the back of the quilt in the lower left corner.
- Due date is by the October 6 Guild Meeting. Turn in the entry form with the quilt.
- Awards will be presented at the November 3 Guild Meeting.
- Entries will be hung at Bass Concert Hall, during November and December of 2003. Quilts will be returned during January 2004 Guild Meeting.
- Judging Criteria: Overall visual impact, Interpretation of theme, Inclusion of design element, i.e., lightning bolt, Workmanship of top and binding, and Quilting.
- Awards: First place, Second place, Third place, up to 4 Honorable mentions, Viewer's choice
